I'm a self-taught Software Developer working in the financial tech industry. In my spare time, I contribute to Tinydark Studio, helping refine the GAM3 engine and implement new features. I love tackling different types of projects and always enjoy learning something new, so if you ever need assistance, don't hesitate to reach out.

Outside of coding, I enjoy spending time with my kids. Fishing when the weather permits, making a mess in the kitchen together, or getting creative with arts and crafts. I'm also a huge fan of tabletop games and enjoy a good Dungeons and Dragons session.

"Memories" Feature

The Memories feature allows for a player to "remember" a player that they have previously seen and any notable features about them, such as their physcial description and behavior.

Codex

The Codex is a unique feature that allows players to access information about other characters they have encountered and their actions. It categorizes characters into two groups: those with nicknames (known) and those without (unknown). Selecting a character opens an interface showcasing various ways to interact with them. At the bottom of the interface, players can view a detailed list of all the actions they have observed that character perform.

Technologies Used

Work done as a software engineer has included both front and back end work, utlizing:
PHP, Javascript (jQuery, React), and a PostgreSQL database.

Custom In-line Editing

This project involved developing a system that allows users to select different data tables for display. Based on the selected table, a dynamic table and corresponding entry form are generated, reflecting the retrieved data. Users can easily interact with the entries in the table, as each one features seamless inline inputs. These inputs include dropdowns for enum values, as well as fields for text and numbers, enabling users to edit entries directly by modifying the input fields.

Note Viewer

The Note Viewer is a reusable component that allows users to view notes by calling a function and passing in the note's data, which can include both images and text. Upon invocation, the function dynamically attaches a modal to the body of the page, enabling the user to view the note in a dedicated space. If there are multiple notes, pagination is supported, displaying one note at a time. Additionally, calling the function automatically loads all the necessary functions required for the Note Viewer's functionality, ensuring seamless interaction and a smooth user experience.

My personal projects tend to involve utilizing
PHP (Laravel), JavaScript (Svelte, jQuery), and a MySQL database.

PayRoll Application

This project involved developing a payroll application that allows users to input their hours worked and view their pay stubs, as well as submitting time off requests.
Manager level users can view and approve time off requests, as well as create projects. Each project has a number of budgetted hours, and every time a timesheet is submitted the number of used hours is updated (according to the employee's department).
